Havurot of CAI
|
Getting
to know people in a large congregation can be intimidating
for some people. A Havurah is an easy way to become acquainted
with others who have similar interests. Each Havurah usually
consists of 6 to 12 couples, families or up to 24 individuals
who meet on a regular basis to celebrate Jewish life. The
group decides what kind of activities in which they would
like to participate. Some activities involve children, others
do not. Either way, a Havurah allows synagogue members to
make friendship connections within the larger congregational
family as a member of a smaller group. Each Havurah plans
its own social, educational, and spiritual activities to
meet the interests and needs of the group.
There
is no membership fee to participate in a Havurah.
For
more information about CAI's Havurot, please contact Mark
Levine at mcmsl@msn.com.
